Book Project Handouts
Our classes will begin reading Hatchet by Gary Paulsen the week of 10/15. This adventure novel is harrowing and provides a lot of opportunities to connect with the main character, Brian. There will be copies available for every student but, if your child would prefer their own copy to be able to write in as we discuss vocabulary and figurative language, you are welcome to provide one. I may have a few for sale at the beginning of the unit as well.
